Even though the team went over the $500,000 budget, the team cut down on the costs of materials and run time. The main budgetary expenses that led the team to go over the budget are the two times the AEV fell off the track and the two extra sessions that were required so that the AEV’s timeline would be completed on time. In hindsight while the AEV’s energy consumption was not egregiously high it could have been lowered but since the AEV’s first and main priority is the safety of it’s passengers this is a non-issue.
