A Flipping Good Pancake Breakfast Kicks off the Fairfield County Fair!

Always a flippin good time!

Make plans now to join us at the 2018 Fairfield County 4-H Endowment “Awareness” Breakfast on Sunday, October 7 at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in the Ed Sands/Farm Bureau Building located at the North Side of the racetrack.  We will have a “Flipping Good Time” with Katies Pancakes.

The Breakfast begins at 8 am and will continue thru 10 am. This annual donation event is geared to be a morning of fellowship and friendship for our 4-H Members, Volunteers and 4-H Families & Alumni.

Traditionally, this breakfast has served as the “Kick-Off” to a very busy Fair week for our youth who have entered over 1,350 youth development projects at the 2018 Fairfield County Fair. Yes, our County Fair truly is the last, largest and greatest fair in the State!!

Another goal this year is to support our local dairy farmers by completing a 10 Gallon Milk Challenge during and throughout breakfast by collectively consuming 10 gallons of milk. Many segments of agriculture have struggled recently, but among those struggling the most right now are our dairy farmers. In the words of Ty Higgins who originated the 10 Gallon Milk Challenge, “Because of major issues beyond their control, most dairies will find it impossible to make a profit this year. I realized there is something we all can do to help that will mooove milk and help others around our community in the process.” In the spirit of Higgin’s original goal, any of the 10 gallons of milk not served during breakfast will be donated to a local food pantry.

After breakfast we invite you to stay and visit the AgMazing Agricenter featuring all of the local FFA Chapters as well as representation from the rest of local agriculture. We encourage you to make time to visit the barns, talk with the youth and learn more about their project work.

We hope you will make time to enjoy breakfast with us at the 2018 4-H Endowment Awareness Breakfast, Sunday, October 8 at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. Reservations are not needed and the breakfast is by donation only.

At the same time, be marking your calendars for our major fund raising event . . . the 4-H Endowment Legacy Dinner slated for Thursday, June 13, 2019 at JD Equipment, 1200 Delmont Road, Lancaster, Ohio.
