Special Announcement: The 2022 Legacy Dinner and Auction is scheduled for June 9 in the Ed Sands/Farm Bureau Building on the Fairfield County Fairgrounds.
* Details about how you can participate in the 2022 4-H Legacy Dinner and Auction as a sponsor, auction donor, or simply by attending are linked at the bottom of this page!
The Fairfield County 4-H Youth Development program strives to teach leadership, citizenship and life skills to approximately 1250 traditional 4-H club members each year. While most of these young people participate in the traditional 4-H club experiences, an additional 1,000 youth are exposed to 4-H work through school enrichment programs. And children who are not yet 4-H age can participate in a non-competing, activity based curriculum known as the Cloverbud program. In addition, the 4-H Youth Development program also creates training and leadership opportunities for nearly 250 4-H advisors in our county.
While dollars to support the 4-H Youth Development program are received cooperatively through Federal, State and County funding, several years ago friends and former 4-Hers met to begin what is now known as the Fairfield County 4-H Endowment. The mission of this Endowment and the Board who manage it is to raise awareness and dollars for long term investment in the 4-H program. Our hope is to leave a Legacy for 4-Hers for generations to come.
As 4-H Alumna, we find that serving as members of the Fairfield County 4-H Endowment Board is a way for each of us to “give back.” We each believe in the mission of the 4-H program which is to empower youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults.
Our major fund raiser each year is the Legacy Dinner and Auction which will be held this year on Thursday, June 9, 2022 in the Ed Sands/Farm Bureau Building on the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. The event will begin with 5 p.m. happy hour, 6 p.m. dinner, followed by program/live auction at 7:00 p.m.. The entire evening is dedicated to the benefit of the Fairfield County 4-H Endowment when you will enjoy great food, fellowship with other supporters of our county’s 4-H program, and perhaps most importantly, lots of fun!
We would like to invite you to help us leave a legacy by simply attending, and/or by becoming one of our contributing sponsors for the evening. There are actually four different ways for you to consider becoming involved and supporting the effort of the Fairfield County 4-H Endowment.
First, for $50 you can attend and enjoy the great meal!
Second, for $500 you may purchase a table for 8 to attend the Dinner and Auction and share the table with your business colleagues or friends.
A third alternative for participation is a donation for the live auction that is held during the Legacy Dinner. There will be no silent auction in 2022. If you are interested in donating to the live auction, please contact Steve Eversole.
If you would like to simply become a contributing sponsor of the event, there are multiple levels of support available.
Regardless of the extent you choose to participate, we do hope you will come and share an evening of food, fellowship and fun, and become involved in supporting the 4-H Endowment Dinner and Auction.
We hope you consider this an opportunity to “pay it back” or “give it forward” and help us create a Legacy for the youth enrolled in the many Fairfield County 4-H programs. If you have questions, or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the 4-H Endowment Board. Please find linked below, very soon, the various forms that allow you to order your tickets, or to commit to one of the other forms of sponsorship.
Thank you,
The Fairfield County 4-H Endowment Board
