The 25K Recreational Topo is a detailed digital map that focuses on outdoor activities in a specific area. It’s great for things like hiking, camping, biking, hunting, snowmobiling, or just enjoying a picnic. Along with recreation info, the map also shows natural and manmade features—like cities, roads, rivers, boundaries, and terrain—so you can get a good sense of what’s around. It even includes helpful details like nearby landmarks, emergency services, and how to get to different outdoor spots.

This map uses the same 7.5-minute grid system as other USGS maps. It’s considered a large-scale map, meaning it shows a lot of detail and covers about 50 to 70 square miles, depending on the location. The 25K Topo is built to give you the kind of info you need when you’re out exploring. It uses custom symbols and labels to highlight things like trails and recreational facilities from The National Map.
