We are very excited to announce the TOPS has secured a limited number of beds in the Ohio State Residence Halls beginning in Fall 2020! We hope you find this to be as exciting as we do! We continue to meet with housing staff to learn more about residence life and the process TOPS students will take to secure their place.
Housing applications for current TOPS students will likely come out in mid-February. Signed contracts and deposits (among documentation to be detailed later) will be accepted on a first come – first served basis to secure a spot. Once beds are filled, students will be put on a waitlist. We will be designating some space for current TOPS students and some for incoming students.
Students wishing to live in the residence hall will need to purchase a meal plan in addition to the paying the Rate 1 room and board fees. All fees are assessed through the student “Statement of Account.” Students will also be required to abide by all rules and regulations of the residence halls in addition to the Student Code of Conduct in which they are already following.
University Village, or any other options, will continue to remain options for students. Residence Hall space is now in addition as we were not able to secure space for all students in TOPS at this time and therefore this is not mandatory.
You can read more about Pennsylvania Place on the housing website at https://housing.osu.edu/roomsearch/pennsylvania-place. As we learn more and move through this process we will be updating you. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Hallelujah! Too late for my guy but we are thrilled for this to set up the TOPS students for independence as adults and more of the college experience.
