Two-Part series-Introductory Workshops on
JASP presented by the
EHE Quantitative Methodology Center (QMC)

The QMC is offering a two-part series on JASP, a free to use data-analysis program. These workshops will occur from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25th and Friday, March 4th. The overall goals of the workshops are to introduce the JASP program and then show how it can be used to conduct Bayesian statistics. These workshops do not require previous knowledge of the JASP program or Bayesian statistics; however, having some experience with frequentist statistics is beneficial. Both workshops are free. Read below for more information about each workshop. You may register for either or both workshops, but you must register for each workshop separately.

Workshop 1: Introduction to JASP and Bayesian Data Analysis

Friday, February 25, 11:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m.

This session will cover an introduction to the JASP environment, Bayesian statistics, and will demonstrate how to conduct basic Bayesian tests (e.g., binomial tests and one-sample t-tests). Join us for this FREE virtual hands-on workshop! Presented by the EHE QMC. Participants should have their own laptop with JASP already installed.

Registration for workshop 1 has now closed. You can watch the recording of workshop 1 by clicking the link here.

Workshop 2: Bayesian Data Analysis with JASP

Friday, March 4, 11:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m.

This session will cover additional Bayesian tests (e.g. independent samples t-tests, ANOVA, and regression). Join us for this FREE virtual hands-on workshop! Presented by the EHE QMC. Participants should have their own laptop with JASP already installed.

Registration for workshop 2 has now closed. You can watch the recording of workshop 2 by clicking the link here.

7 Reasons to Use JASP:

  • Free and easy to install
  • Easy-to-use interface (point & click)
  • Effortless to run Bayesian data analysis
  • Access to a wide array of statistical methods (e.g., meta-analysis, SEM, network analysis)
  • Regular updates through the JASP community
  • Visually appealing tables and figures in APA format
  • Dynamic updates of results when inputting changes
