Representatives from the RealEyes program, a program by the Ohio Optometric Association, came in to talk about their program. The program educates kids about the importance of eye safety. Members were trained in the program, specifically “Sammy Safe Eyes” and “The Case of Vinny Vision”.

Southern College of Optometry’s Director of Student Recruitment, Sunnie Ewing, came in and shared information about their program, life as an optometry student in Memphis, TN, and the admissions process.

Dr. Nicky Lai, OSU Optometry Chair of Admissions, presented a slideshow on “The Optometry Experience”. The slideshow focused on what Optometrists do and what the field has to offer. He also talked about  Bill 36, a bill to broaden the scope of Optometry.
