The Championship of the County, Chili Cookoff with Beef cookbooks are in and ready for you to pick up!
You’ll recall the Fairfield County Cattlemen have hosted this unique event during the Fairfield County Fair each of the last three years. Now, all 73 award winning recipes that were entered in those competitions have been compiled into one great cookbook. Better yet, the cookbooks are available to you free, on a first come, first served basis.
To pick up your cookbook, beginning this Saturday, December 16, at 8:00 AM, all you need to do is go into Bay Food Market and walk up to their meat case and request one. These cookbooks have been published and are being offered free of charge by the Fairfield County Cattlemen’s Association in cooperation with Bay Food Market, and are funded in part by the Ohio Beef Council. They will continue be available while supplies last exclusively at Bay Food Market during regular business hours in their store located at the corner of Maple and Walnut Streets in Lancaster.
On the 16th, while you’re there for your cookbook, you also have the opportunity from 10 until noon to meet the winner of this year’s Grand Champion Chili banner – Tarah Reed of Lancaster – and sample her award winning entry, Mimi’s Smokin’ Brisket Chili.
At the same time check out the Bay Food Market meat case and their selection of beef cuts. And, you can also visit across the counter with their meat cutters about what cut best fits your family’s preferences. Bay purchases their beef locally and harvests and processes each in their own facilities.
Most important, if you’d enjoy trying any one of the 73 different Championship of the County, Chili Cookoff with Beef recipes, beginning this Saturday get to Bay Food Market and request your free chili cookbook . . . available only while supplies last.
