Borelli and Hay Award Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winners of the Borelli and Jim Hay Memorial Awards!

The Borelli Award lecture and presentation will be at 8:15am on Friday 8/7/15. The Hay Award lecture and presentation will be at 1:30pm on Saturday 8/8/15.

Speakers for Breakfasts Announced

We are happy to announce the speakers for the Women in Science and Diversity breakfasts.

The speaker for the Women in Science breakfast will be Mary Juhas, PhD, FASM and the talk will be titled “Searching for Inclusive Excellence.”

The speaker for the Diversity breakfast will be Quinn Capers, IV, MD and his talk will be titled “Diversity in the Workforce: A Politically Correct Concept, Or a Matter of Life and Death?”

New Hotel Room Blocks Open!

Due to popular demand, a block of rooms has been reserved for ASB2015 at the Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Columbus Downtown from Aug 4- Aug 9. Book your room today before all the rooms are gone! We’ve also reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites OSU from Aug 4 – Aug 8. Rooms must be booked before July 1. To reserve your room, call the hotel directly at (614) 447-1212 and tell them you are with the American Society of Biomechanics conference. They are a little further away, but will be organizing complimentary shuttle service to the conference.

If you are looking to stay somewhere else, check out your favorite travel website (hotels.com, kayak.com, etc.) for more options! There are numerous hotels in close proximity to downtown. Stay at a hotel slightly further away and use the CBUS Circulator for free and easy transportation to to the Hyatt Regency and Greater Columbus Convention Center. It runs every 10-15 minutes 7am-9pm Mon-Thurs, 7am-12am Fri, 9am-12am Sat, and 10:30am-6pm Sun. You could also use Columbus’ bike sharing system CoGo which has numerous stations located downtown for easy transportation to and from your hotel.
