New Hotel Room Blocks Open!

Due to popular demand, a block of rooms has been reserved for ASB2015 at the Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Columbus Downtown from Aug 4- Aug 9. Book your room today before all the rooms are gone! Rooms must be booked before July 4. We’ve also reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites OSU from Aug 4 – Aug 8. Rooms must be booked before July 1. To reserve your room, call the hotel directly at (614) 447-1212 and tell them you are with the American Society of Biomechanics conference. They are a little further away, but will be organizing complimentary shuttle service to the conference.

If you are looking to stay somewhere else, check out your favorite travel website (,, etc.) for more options! There are numerous hotels in close proximity to downtown. Stay at a hotel slightly further away and use the CBUS Circulator for free and easy transportation to to the Hyatt Regency and Greater Columbus Convention Center. It runs every 10-15 minutes 7am-9pm Mon-Thurs, 7am-12am Fri, 9am-12am Sat, and 10:30am-6pm Sun. You could also use Columbus’ bike sharing system CoGo which has numerous stations located downtown for easy transportation to and from your hotel.

Want to bring a guest to the reception or banquet?

In response to popular demand, we have now added the ability to add extra tickets for the banquet or reception for your friend or significant other who doesn’t want/need to attend the rest of the meeting. If you’ve already registered, go to the confirmation email you received and Modify Your Registration. Then add your Guest.

If you are starting to plan your agenda for your time at ASB, please note the following addenda to the program:

  • Bertec’s Spotlight Symposium will be held in the Regency Ballroom during the lunch hour on Thursday. Stay tuned for more details of the content of that symposium.
  • Fellows and & Past-Presidents–your attendance at the Fellows Luncheon on Friday in Morrow is requested.
  • During each of the podium sessions, the number of concurrent sessions has been updated to 4 or 5.
