October 2025 Advisor of the Month

Check out some of the wonderful things our advising colleagues have done as we get into the second half of autumn semester and spring registration season! Thank you to each of you for all of your hard work and dedication to the students in your areas and OSU!

  • Shea Davis
    • Has helped me tremendously in my first months at the position. She has not only made me feel welcome, but doesn’t hesitate to answer any questions AND provide additional information to help me gain further knowledge. I also get the pleasure to observe her survey section and have witnessed first hand her going above and beyond to help her students.
  • Kristen Krug
    • Kristen has shown outstanding leadership and initiative in her role, particularly through her work with the campus change committee, where she led successful and impactful events. She also took on the significant task of updating and customizing the campus change/transfer seminar presentations to better serve our unique group of advisees. Kristen’s expertise, collaborative spirit, and genuine kindness make her an exceptional advisor and a valued colleague.
  • Pete Rex
    • Pete’s calm efficiency in our daily work, coupled with genuine care for students, direct reporting staff and all team members is impressive. This month was particularly stressful for our college’s advising team with BDP going live at the start of fall semester. Pete has worked diligently to adjust students’ degree audits, hold scheduled and drop-in advising appointments, guest lecture in Survey classes, and maintain all 1:1 meetings with Human Sciences advisors. That is not a comprehensive list– only what many of us can see. We really appreciate Pete in EHE/OUE. We say it to each other, often, and to him, individually. This public venue for advisors is a good way to express it to everyone. Thank you, Pete Rex!”

The Awards & Recognition Committee is putting the monthly raffle on a pause while we explore other ways to recognize all the hard work that happens over the year. More information to come in the future!
