ACADAOS is able to provide a professional development grant (up to $100) to support the development of its members.
Eligibility
Current, active ACADAOS members who are pursuing professional development opportunities are eligible for the award. The member must be active at the point of submitting the request and when the funds are to be used.
Members are limited to being awarded one grant per membership year.
Funds must be applied to professional development directly applicable to the member’s current position. Due to tax restrictions, we are not permitted to fund opportunities that are not related to a member’s current position.
Application deadline
Applications must be submitted in advance of the professional development activity. Applications will be reviewed at the Executive Board meeting following the deadline for the semester (i.e. January Exec Board meeting for the autumn semester review).
- Autumn Semester: September 1 – December 31 for funds to be used during the spring semester
- Spring Semester: January 1-April 31 for funds to be used during the summer semester
- Summer Semester: May 1-August 31 for funds to be used during the autumn semester
Award Amount
Up to $100 in financial support will be provided per request. The grant provides reimbursement (with receipt) up to $100 for the professional development activity.
Submissions
Please complete the ACADAOS Professional Development Fund Grant form to be considered for a grant.
For approved requests, the President will send an email notification to the applicant notifying them of the award and that the receipt for the experience must be submitted within the semester in which the award applies. The email notification will include the Treasurer’s contact information for submission of receipt.
Applicants whose submissions were not approved will also receive a notification and are eligible to submit a request for the next round.
