Wayne County Junior Fair Statement about Quarantine and COVID Symptoms
If a Jr. Fair Exhibitor is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and/or under a quarantine order from their primary care physician or healthcare provider, they should stay home and find someone to care for their animal while it is at the fairgrounds to ensure the animal has feed, water, and clean bedding. The exhibitor should also arrange for another Jr. Fair exhibitor to show the animal and, if it is a market animal, stand in for the exhibitor during the livestock auction. Any questions or issues – please contact the Jr. Fair Office at 330-264-9895 or via email at wcjrfair@gmail.com.

Excellence in 4-H Award Nominations
Do you have an outstanding youth in your club that you would like to recognize? We are asking 4-H advisors to nominate outstanding members who are 17 years and older last year 4-H members for the Excellence in 4-H Award. This is our most prestigious award given to a youth at the county level. A member should be active in local 4-H activities and demonstrated leadership abilities at the club and county levels. Please return the nomination form to the Extension Office no later than September 1, 2021. Nominees will be sent applications to fill out and those who return them will be interviewed by a selection committee. The winners will be announced at the 4-H Recognition Banquet in November. Sheep Carcass Contest Changes
Attention carcass lamb exhibitors! The carcass lambs will now be going to 3-D Custom Meats at 14740 Lincoln Way East, Dalton for processing instead of Boliantz Packing. The lambs will be delivered there after the live show on Saturday, August 28th. The carcass results show will be taking place at 3-D Meats on September 1st at 6:00 PM. 3-D Meats has been very gracious in offering to do this for us on short notice, and are willing to do the same standard cut on the lambs for the same cost as Boliantz Packing has in the past. If you have any questions, please call the Extension Office at 330-264-8722.
