2015 4-H Achievement Record Applications

Dear 4-H Teen Leader:

I invite you to consider applying for one or more of our Wayne County, Ohio, and national 4-H activities, awards, trips, and/or scholarships.  There are many opportunities available to teens that are 14 and older as of January 1, 2015.  Serving as a camp counselor for Cloverbud Day Camp and/or for Junior Camp, serving on Junior Fair Board, Food and Fashion Board, 4-H Awareness Teams, and going on special trips like to the National 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus conference, Ohio 4-H Leadership Camp, or Ohio 4-H Sea Camp are just a few of the teen leadership experiences that can help you develop into a stronger, more confident and capable leader.   Completing the Ohio 4-H Achievement Record application form is the first step in getting started with all of the wonderful teen leadership opportunities available to you through 4-H in 2015.

Please review the Achievement Record and accompanying instructions / information.  I will be holding a special “Achievement Record Workshop” on Monday December 1, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the FFA Building at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.  During this workshop I will be providing information about how to fill out the Achievement Record, what the judges look for, examples of past successful achievement records, and other tips & tricks.  This workshop is geared both for teens that are filling out the Achievement Record for the first-time as well as teens looking to apply for more advanced state or national opportunities and advisors looking for more information to help members in their clubs.

Immediately following the Achievement Record Workshop on December 1st our Wayne County 4-H Junior Leaders Club will be holding our December meeting at 7 pm in the FFA Building at the fairgrounds. We will be working together with Senior Fair Board members to assemble bikes for the Bikes for Kids Christmas Project and then having a Gingerbread House Building Contest!  I hope you can join me for part or all of our fun filled evening on December 1st.

Best wishes,

Doug
