Quality Assurance for 2021
Quality Assurance will be held virtually in 2021. Zoom sessions will be offered at 6:00 PM on the following dates:
March 22
April 6
May 4
May 10
A last chance QA session will be held on July 26 at 6:00 PM (fee will be charged). Quality Assurance must be completed by July 27 in order to participate in the Wayne County Fair. Click here to join the Zoom QA sessions.
Beef Weigh-In
This year’s beef weigh-in will be held on Saturday, March 13 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the Coliseum at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. If you plan to exhibit a Beef, Dairy, or Carcass Steer at the 2021 Wayne County Fair, your animal must be weighed and tagged at this event. If you wish to participate in the Born, Bred, and Raised classes at this year’s fair, your nomination form is due at weigh-in.
Dairy Ambassador Contest
Attention all Wayne County Dairy Youth! The Wayne County Dairy Promoters along with the Wayne/Ashland Dairy Service Unit are sponsoring a Wayne County Dairy Ambassador Contest. Candidates must be involved in the Wayne County dairy industry and be between the ages of 9 and 21. Click here for contest rules and application. Applications are due March 15, 2021.

Photography Challenge
Attention 4-H’ers! The University of Minnesota 4-H program has created a photo challenge open to all 4-H members in the Midwest (that means YOU!) in grades K-12. Explore the world in TONES for the Black & White Photography Challenge. In this challenge, we encourage you to play with shadows, look at texture, layer dark and light tones to create stunning black and white photographs. A new version of 4-H Online is being used this year, so your screens will look a bit different than what you’ve used in the past, Videos and help sheets are currently available at https://wayne.osu.edu/help, and Extension staff is available to assist you. Enrollment is due on April 1.
