Attention carcass lamb exhibitors! The carcass lambs will now be going to 3-D Custom Meats at 14740 Lincoln Way East, Dalton for processing instead of Boliantz Packing. The lambs will be delivered there after the live show on Saturday, August 28th. The carcass results show will be taking place at 3-D Meats on September 1st at 6:00 PM. 3-D Meats has been very gracious in offering to do this for us on short notice, and are willing to do the same standard cut on the lambs for the same cost as Boliantz Packing has in the past. If you have any questions, please call the Extension Office at 330-264-8722.

You will receive a confirmation email with the details of your DUNF after it is submitted. If any information on the DUNF form changes between the time the form was submitted and fair check-in, the committee will ask you to complete a new DUNF at check-in. If nothing has changed you may proceed to the next step in the check-in line. Please use your entire animal ID/scrapie ID. DUNF forms are required by the Ohio Department of Agriculture for all market animals, lactating dairy cows, and lactating dairy goats. Click here to access the electronic DUNF.
Sheep exhibitors are welcome and encouraged (but not required) to bring their lambs to the Sheep Clinic on June 15th to be weighed for the Rate of Gain Award competition. Only lambs weighed in at the Clinic will be eligible for the Rate of Gain Award competition.

The carcass live shows will be held this week! The live beef show will be held tonight on Thursday, August 27 at 7:00 PM in the Coliseum, with check-in beginning at 6:00 PM. The live sheep show will take place in the sheep arena on Saturday, August 29th at 9:00 AM with weigh-in beginning at 8:00 AM. Beef results will be available on the evening of Tuesday, September 1 and sheep results will be available on the evening of Thursday, September 3.
Due to current state and local guidelines surrounding COVID-19, the results portion of the beef and sheep carcass shows will not be open to the public. The live portions of these shows will still be conducted at the Fairgrounds following mask and social distancing guidelines. The animals will then be trucked to the processing facility as usual and graded by our judges, who will assist in the production of a video that will detail the scoring systems and the 2020 placing results. Once production is complete, this video will then be released the following evening on the Wayne County 4-H Facebook page and the species subgroups of this page. Thanks go out to everyone for your flexibility and willingness to adhere to mask and social distancing guidelines through this time.
