The Wayne County 4-H Food and Fashion Board has opened up applications for some additional youth.  Applicants must be ages 14 – 18 as of January 1^st.  Food and Fashion Board members help plan and conduct the annual Wayne County 4-H Style Revue and State Fair Awards program, assist with the Baked Goods Auction at the Wayne County Fair, and participate in a variety of other fun and educational trips and activities.  Applications are due February 16^th.  Click here to download the application.

It’s time to register for the 2021 Ohio 4-H (Virtual) Conference! This year’s event for 4-H volunteers and teens features virtual sessions on Feb. 20, 23, and 25. Read through the conference booklet for a complete description of sessions, then register online at www.go.osu.edu/2021O4HC. There’s no cost to participate – don’t miss it!

Ready to Take the Leap to career readiness? Join the Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council as they guide teens through creating resumes, developing interview skills, and setting future goals. Open to teens 13-18. Register at go.osu.edu/taketheleap by January 24.

Junior Leaders is back! The next Junior Leaders meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on February 1 at the Shisler Conference Center on the OARDC campus. Registration is limited! Go to go.osu.edu/febjrleaders to sign up!

It’s time to kick off the 4-H year! Our annual mandatory training for all volunteers will be held by Zoom on February 9 at 7:00 PM. The session will be recorded if you are unable to attend the live session. Additional information coming soon!

All 4-H clubs and committees must complete and submit the Financial Summary form annually.  Forms are due to the Extension Office by January 31, 2021.  Click the link below to access the form.

Did you know that Wayne County offers several scholarships to 4-H members annually? Applications are now available are due at the Extension office by February 16, 2021. Ohio State University also offers scholarships for 4-H members – those applications are due February 15.

In an effort to continue reducing the spread of COVID-19 and to keep our employees and clientele safe until the impact of holiday celebrations become known, OSU Extension offices will remain closed through January 15.
