4. Pay tuition and complete financial steps.

After completing the online orientation sessions and signing up for your classes, you will receive a bill reflecting your enrollment in courses and applicable fees. You MUST complete these steps to stay enrolled in your courses into the Spring semester and avoid a hold on your account:

    1. Accept or decline your financial aid, and complete your Master Promissory Note (MPN) if needed. You may not see this as an option until after you have enrolled for your courses (during orientation) and your financial aid has been applied to your account.
    2. Set up Guardian ePay and Account Refund options.
    3. Consider the Student Legal Services fee. The $40 annual fee appears on your fee statement each autumn. Payment of this fee gives you access to any legal services you might need while at Ohio State, such as a referral for Columbus-area attorneys or the review of a housing leasing agreement.
      • If you wish to waive out of this fee – which would prevent you from accessing the services for the entire academic year – you may do so by using the “Other financial…” drop-down menu in the “Finances” section of your Buckeye Link homepage, and then selecting the “Student Legal Services” option. Your decision to waive this fee must be made by the fee payment deadline (seven days before classes begin).
    4. Review and understand your Statement of Account, the list of all payments and charges to your student account. You will not have a statement generated until after you have signed up for classes during Orientation and you are charged for tuition and other fees.
    5. Pay your tuition and fees (set up a payment plan). You may not see this as an option until after you have your statement of account posted and your financial aid has been applied to your account.

Now that you have completed Step #4, please use the navigation bar on the left hand side to find and complete Step #5 of Transfer Student Orientation.
