Student Farm Volunteer Event

This event is hosted by the SUSTAINS Learning Community.

April 10th, 11:00a-12:30p

SUSTAINS has partnered with other Learning Communities and Scholars groups to plan a volunteer day with Ohio State’s Student Farm. The Student Farm is located at Waterman and is a space where students can get hand’s on experience with growing food.

This event will be in person, but all health and safety guidelines will be followed. During the event, you will have the chance to help with the student farm, learn more about hoop houses, and get a tour of the research projects occurring on-site.

Virtual Street Cleanup

(with water bottle giveaway)

This event is hosted by Students for Recycling.

April 10th (all day)

Join Students for Recycling in a virtual street clean-up around you. To practice social distancing, we are inviting every student to participate by cleaning up their street and separating recycling and trash. Recyclable items include paper, cardboard, glass bottles, aluminum cans, bottle-shaped plastics and #5 plastics. When in doubt, throw it out!

If you participate you will be entered to win a reusable Nalgene water bottle. We will be giving out 300 water bottles to the first people who post a picture of their cleanup on Instagram and tag us @osusfr or DM us a photo! We can all play a part in making our Earth a little more beautiful!
