The Sustainability Institute has partnered with IGS Energy and Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE), to bring you Women in Sustainability this year, focused on Ohio’s clean energy and transportation future. The 2-hour event begins with a networking breakfast, followed by a panel of local women leaders and experts in the sustainability field. The featured panelists are Preeti Choudhary Executive Director of DriveOhio, Jordan Davis Executive Director of SMART Columbus, and Reagan Mamer Senior Director of Residential Solar Dealer and IGS Labs.
All in-person attendees will receive free breakfast and will have an opportunity to win a one year WRISE student membership. This includes benefits such as access to exclusive job boards, free mentoring programs, and entry to member events. This event is open to all interested in uplifting women in sustainability careers, regardless of background and identity. |

Students can learn about different sustainability organizations on campus and throughout the Columbus community. There will be prizes available based on how many tables you stop by to earn about their involvements in sustainability! |

Sustainable Seed Starting 6 – 7 PM Busch House Palette Room |
Students can come to our event to plant seeds in containers that are being recycled and reused in a positive way. Students can choose their container based on preferred size and material: egg cartons, plastic yogurt containers, glass jars, metal cans, etc. The available seeds will be small herbs that are easy to keep in dorms or native flowers to promote the importance of native Ohio plants. Dirt will be provided as well as labels for students to write on and place in their pots. |

Join the Interprofessional Council for a film viewing of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste and a discussion focusing on the complex global issue of food waste and creative ways to combat it! Dinner will be provided to the first 50 attendees. |
