Sustainability Market

The sustainability market is a collaboration with the local community to bring local businesses and vendors to the Oval. Additionally, OSU sustainability student organizations will also be tabling. The goal of this event is to promote a culture of sustainability and inform students about the organizations and resources on campus and in Columbus that support a local and eco-friendly lifestyle. This event would feature a giveaway for students. If students ask a vendor about the sustainability initiatives that they incorporate into their business, they will receive a giveaway ticket!

Tie-Dye Fiesta

12 – 2:30 PM

Oval

Buckeye Solar Racing is a student-led project team at The Ohio State University that designs, builds, and races solar-powered vehicles at national competitions. Tie-Dye Fiesta is an event where students will create tie-dye Buckeye Solar Racing (BSR) clothing items. Our team will be prepared with natural dyes from food products like beets, cabbage, dragon fruit, etc. During the event, students will have the opportunity to make tie dyed items such as dyed t-shirts, bucket hats, overalls, tote bags, and more! Sustainability is a core value within the organization and by educating people about natural dyes, BSR hopes to promote a more sustainable and fashionable campus. Food will also be provided for students attending.
