The American Conservation Coalition is thrilled to partner with Goodwill Columbus for a special thrifting event as part of Time for Change Week. Join us for a day of sustainable shopping, fun, and community building!

At our event, you’ll have the chance to browse through a wide selection of high-quality secondhand items, including clothing, accessories, furniture, and more. All of the items available for sale have been donated by the local community and carefully curated by Goodwill Columbus, so you can rest assured that you’re getting the best quality at the best prices. Plus, when you shop with us, you’ll be supporting a good cause – all proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Goodwill Columbus’s mission of empowering individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Join Cultivating Change and Center for Human-Animal Interactions Research and Education (CHAIRE) in two separate sessions of FREE Goat Yoga with goats from Harrison Farms as we promote human-animal interactions as they relate to mindfullness, wellness, and community! We will be celebrating pride and belonging and using human-animal interactions to facilitate this. Please bring your own yoga mat and register for one of the sessions beforehand!

Using satellites and supercomputers this 25-minute film shows the processes causing glacial melt in Greenland and Antartica, as well as how coastlines could be threatened by rising sea level. A Q&A with Byrd Center Director and Earth Sciences professor Dr. Ian Howat and Byrd Center Education & Outreach Program Coordinator Karina Peggau will follow.

Take Back the Tap Scavenger Hunt
All Week
Join Students for Recycling in a scavenger hunt across campus to find water bottle fill stations and drinking fountains. Refill your reusable water bottle and avoid buying single use plastic water bottles by looking for water bottle fill stations or drinking fountains in classroom buildings and residence halls. Scan the Students for Recycling QR code and fill out the form to participate! Learn more about privatized water and Students for Recycling’s partnership with the Take Back the Tap organization from the Food and Water Watch. The top 3 individuals who find the most stations will receive a gift card and reusable Nalgene water bottle!
