For me, taking time to slow down and appreciate the beauty and complexity of a beach, the ocean, and all of its creatures is contagious. It can be a reminder of how small we are compared to the ocean, but how big of an impact our habits can have on it (recycling/waste reduction & cleanup, proper use of dangerous substances, etc.) One person doing something good for the environment has a ripple effect on anyone else they come into contact with. The ocean and the beach hold a special place in my heart, which is why preserving it’s beauty and protecting this complex ecosystem is so important to me. I hope you’ll join me in thanking the Earth for giving us such beautiful things like the oceans and beaches, by doing your part to live sustainably!

Simple and beautiful nature.

To me, the earth means the opportunity to see things I’ve never seen before. This past spring break my dad and I went on a hiking trip out west and got to take in the beauty around us.

The Earth is our provider. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat all come from the Earth. The Earth is our home. Protect our home and its beauty.

The Earth is our space to connect with those we love. While it is beautiful on its own, the people that inhabit it are what make it come to life. My favorite moments are spent outside; taking my little siblings on walks, asking them about their hopes for the future, and allowing their imaginations to run wild in nature. I learn new things constantly through their fresh eyes and curiosity. The Earth teaches them responsibility and respect for others. The Earth offers us a place to laugh together, grow together, and be together.

The Earth is a place we can connect with others – those who are with us physically and those who lived long before us. Photo taken in Subway Cave in Boynton Canyon – Sedona, Arizona. 8 AM.

Earth to me is a place where you can explore and appreciate what nature has to offer with the ones closest to you. This spring break I was able to make long lasting memories with my friends, while taking in the great landscapes and views that Earth has in store for us.

The natural world never ceases to amaze me with it’s vast biodiversity and natural beauty. This is a photo of wildflowers I collected while hiking in the Swiss Alps. My mind was absolutely blown by the variety of flowers that covered this landscape. This snapshot reminds me of the natural wonders that we are fortunate enough to have on Earth and how passionate I am about protecting them.
