EHD in Deer – will it affect my livestock?

Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) is a disease in deer that you may be hearing about.  Reports from Southeast Ohio counties show large numbers of reported deer deaths.  Reports from Licking County have been few so far.  Some are concerned with the disease affecting their livestock – specifically cattle since they often graze the same areas.  The following links from the Ohio Department of Agriculture explain the disease and answer many questions about it.  Feel free to call our office if you have questions.
