update website
download all software needed
touch base with other groups in the company
1/31/19:
Team members, still in preliminary planning stages, reflectance sensor test was run, ran programmed code, and the data extraction tool was used.
Upcoming Tasks:
In two weeks: pitch design of AEV to the smart city board.
Each member should come up with a different AEV design.
2/7/19
Team has decided to meet outside of class, most likely on 2/10/19. We will finalize a AEV design, prepare our pitch, and prepare our first progress report. In class the data extraction tool was used to record data of the sample AEV, graphs were made Power vs Time and Power vs Distance.
Upcoming Tasks:
Progress Report One
Pitch
Finalize Idea for AEV Design
2/21/19
First round of team committee meetings.
Mike- R&D
Maddie- HR
Ryan- Fiance
Camille-PR
Finish methodologies, motor configuration and servo function finalize ways to test these and more research regarding motor function and servo function.
2/28/19
First research day.
Mike and Ryan- Created the code and tested the motor configuration. Ran test trials on the straight track and with one motor on each side of the AEV and then both motors on one side of the AEV. The data extraction tool was used to collect all data.
Maddie and Camille- Created solid works design, that will hold the wheel and be 3D printed. This piece will also include shelves to hold the servo and the battery. It is modeled after the black t-shape from the original AEV. Also, started formatting Progress Report 2. Updated Team Notes and Team meeting minutes.
3/4/19
Testing and Research
Mike and Ryan: Ran into some issues for testing, had to change the Arudino. Troubleshooted with configuration of AEV vehicle. In the end they were able to run it on the straight track and everything checked out, setting them up well to extract data on Wednesday.
Camille and Maddie: Set up skeleton for progress report two, worked on website updates and worked on a piece in solid works, in order to figure out a place to put the battery on the AEV, that would maintain a good center of mass .
3/6/19
Testing and Research
Mike and Ryan: Ran tests on straight track, extracted data for the different motor configurations, put data into graphs.
Camille and Maddie: Worked on dome design (piece that will be 3D printed) in Solid works. Revised Progress Report One and updated website.
3/7/19
Testing and Research
Mike was not present
Ryan- Tested the effects of different propellers, collected data, and determined that the shorter propellers do not work as well.
