The goal of the project is to develop and program a prototype AEV that must complete a series of tasks while remaining within a specified budget. Group N’s main approach to this project is quality-based. The team will work to ensure there are minimal errors while testing our AEV. Our group plans to use the grant money to research, test, and improve our AEV to present the highest quality vehicle. The main focus for the performance constraint will be determining when the motors need to stop to allow the AEV time to slow and stop before the gate. In order to accomplish this successfully, we need to develop a design that will stop reliably after the engines are cut, as well as doing as much determining the absolute best point in time to begin the engine braking process. This will require much design reliability testing, as well as testing of the AEV’s code. Team N will work methodically to develop an exceptional prototype AEV.
