Findings

We tested the solo motor vs two motor to see which one would be more energy efficient while exerting the same amount of power. We ran 10 tests for each the one motor and two motor AEV. In the end as seen in the graphs, it was concluded that the two motor AEV created more power, and used less energy therefore our team has decided to use the two motor configuration.

Research

Our research was based on the research for an airplane based on the team’s decision to model our AEV loosely after an airplane. We looked at research for an airplane’s engine quantity. The research was based on a twin-jet engine vs a quadra-jet engine.

Marketable

This research makes our AEV more marketable for numerous reasons. One, it would help with the safety of the AEV. Due to having two motors instead of one, much like an airplane if one motor fails, the other motor is there to continue working.  Two, since there are two motors it helps with the equilibrium of the AEV.
