Division O

The Columbus community of Linden suffers from a variety of logistical issues leaving the residents without many basic services available to the rest of the city. To combat this issue Columbus has launched Smart City projects.

Mission:

Our mission as put forth through this new project is to design and develop an advanced energy vehicle (AEV) capable of transporting passengers from Linden to essential services like healthcare, employment opportunities, and shopping centers in areas like Easton and Polaris.

Approach:

By focusing on safety, efficiency, and consistency our division will prioritize all methods of safe experimentation to ensure development of the best possible AEV. In terms of completing the MCR our team will modify the Arduino code to run the AEV consistently while remaining efficient as possible.

Project Specifications:

The specifications state that the AEV will be autonomous, electric-powered and travel suspended from a monorail system. The AEV will be capable of movement in both directions and stopping at specified gate locations for pickups. The budget for the project is $600,000 which will be split between capital, accuracy, time, energy and R&D costs.
