The reflectance sensors are used to bridge communication between the AEV’s wheels and user. The reflector sensors relay a signal back to the program which indicates position of the AEV on the track. The Arduino records the wheel’s revolutions based on marks which are then used for input by the team. (8 marks/1 wheel revolution) This is important as it allows the user to control the vehicle’s speed and direction.
