The Reflectance Sensors play an important part in how the AEV will function. Because of the autonomous nature of the project, there will be no way to stop the vehicle manually once it reaches the required position. The sensors will track how far along the track the vehicle is, and stop it automatically, as opposed to humans stopping it. This is recorded by the Arduino in marks, and measures distance, which can then be used to determine how much power is required for the vehicle to perform a cycle.
