What is the A.B. Graham Center?
The A.B. Graham Memorial Center was built in 1917 as a school building. The building sat on the same site where A.B. Graham began his career in education.
The present building served the surrounding rural community as a school apart of the Miami East School District until its closure in June 1990. Recognizing the historic significance of the building, concerned citizens rallied to save it. They developed the non-profit organization called, The A.B. Graham Memorial Center.
The mission of the Center is to provide the surrounding rural communities of Miami and Champaign Counties a place to meet, socialize and conduct business while at the same time recognizing the significant work of A.B. Graham, the founder of 4-H Clubs of America.

The Ohio Youth Institute is a life-changing experience at The Ohio State University where high school students engage with local leaders and experts on critical global challenges, participate in hands-on activities, and explore exciting ways to make a difference in Ohio and around the world.
Students research issues they care about and propose their ideas to solve these grand challenges.
The Ohio Youth Institute is hosted by The Ohio State University with the generous support of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and Ohio 4-H.
Why participate?
Students who participate in the Ohio Youth Institute earn recognition as a Borlaug Scholar and qualify for internships and further opportunities.
At this exciting event, participating high school students have the opportunity to:
Present research and recommendations on ways to solve key global challenges in a short speech and small group discussions with statewide experts;
Connect with other student leaders from across Ohio to share ideas, identify solutions to these problems and build lasting friendships;
Explore the issues, current research and opportunities to make a difference at The Ohio State University; and
Interact with global leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs in Ohio working to end hunger and poverty and improve food security around the world.
Papers will be evaluated by The World Food Prize Board of Reviewers. This distinguished group of educators and experts was established to mentor and personally encourage students. Reviewers write thoughtful, personalized feedback to each student who participates in the Youth Institute.
How to participate
To participate in the Ohio Youth Institute, students research a global issue and write a three page paper under the supervision of a teacher or mentor (using the downloadable guidelines above).
Nine through twelfth grade students are eligible to apply.
Registration and paper submission due online by: March 20, 2020.
There is no registration cost to participate in the Institute and meals will be provided during the event. However, both student and teacher/mentor participants must organize their own transportation to and from the event in Columbus, OH.

The Ohio 4-H Cloverbot Challenge gives 4-H Cloverbuds the opportunity to work cooperatively in teams to problem-solve using STEM (science, engineering, technology and math) skills. A new theme is selected each year and teams research a topic, build a working model of their solution to the Challenge issue and create a poster to illustrate their findings. Cloverbuds, team advisors and families come to the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in the spring, for the Challenge event. Teams present their models and findings to a team of reviewers, learn about other Cloverbuds’ projects, participate in age-appropriate STEM activities and are recognized at a closing celebration.
This year’s Cloverbot Challenge is On the Move! It’s all about transportation and the ways in which people and things get where they are going.
Find all the details about the 2020 Challenge here.
Register your Cloverbot team for On the Move by May 1 at go.osu.edu/20cloverbots
