4-H Senior Spotlight Survey

Do you have a graduating senior? Please fill out the 4-H Senior Spotlight survey. This is a great opportunity to for us to spotlight our awesome 4-H youth and their post-graduation plans. We would love to feature your 4-H career and share these experiences with the rest of our program. Please submit your Senior Spotlight survey by July 1st!

Please be aware that by submitting this form and attaching photos, you are granting consent for the sharing of the submitted information on our Ohio State University- Shelby County Extension Facebook and in the Booth Building during fair week!

2024 Shelby County Junior Fair FairEntry is open!

Please review the following information prior to making any entries on FairEntry:

FairEntry Deadlines:

*For entries to be considered “complete”, they must be fully complete and submitted with any required photo IDs and documents

May 15th- Feeder Calves (beef and dairy) and Swine Entries and Photo ID’s due

June 1st- All other Junior Fair entries due

Remember to enter:

  • LIVESTOCK SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES: If you wish to participate in showmanship, you are required to enter in FairEntry. You must make an entry into your species showmanship competition (under the “Livestock Showmanship” department) by June 1st to be enrolled in showmanship at the fair.
  • AUCTION ADD-ON: You must indicate your interest to participate in the Shelby County Junior Fair Livestock Sale by making an entry under the “Auction Add-On” department.
  • ALTERNATE FAMILY ANIMAL: Alternate family animals refer to animals you are registering as “alternates” in the event one becomes sick or dies (see pg.26 of the Junior Fair Book). Please indicate in the Animal Name section for the animal that it is the Alternate Family Animal
  • CLOVERBUDS – If Cloverbuds plan to participate in Cloverbud Share Day on Thursday of fair, they should enter Class 403 in the FairEntry system.
  • MODELING and DEMONSTRATIONS – Classes 400 – 403

New for 2024: Time to Shine Show

We are excited to introduce a new opportunity coming to the 2024 Shelby County Fair. The “Time to Shine” show is presented by Shelby County 4-H, in partnership with Shelby County Board of Developmental Disabilities, to provide youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to show at the Shelby County Fair.

Participants will be mentored by 4-H and FFA members who have received training, have experiences showing livestock, and have a willingness to share their knowledge of junior fair livestock projects.
