Dear 4-H Members, Parents, and Advisors,

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!  As you begin thinking about plans for 2017 – we hope you will continue to be actively involved in Wayne County 4-H.  As such we are pleased to share with you our 2017 Calendar of Events and hope you find it useful in planning dates for your family and club in the new year.  Listed below are other important reminders and upcoming deadlines.

2017 Wayne County 4-H Calendar of Events

Attention Teens (14 and older as of Jan. 1, 2017) – 4-H Achievement Records – the application for Junior Fair Board, Camp Counseling, 4-H Awareness Team, Food and Fashion Board, trips and more) is due Friday January 6, 2016 by 4:30 pm at the Extension Office.  Download the application on-line today!

January Junior Leaders Meeting to be held at Certified Angus Beef Culinary Education Center – open to teens 13 and older.  Come learn about opportunities to participate in Meats Judging and General Livestock Judging Teams and much more in 2017!

Cloverbud Advisors Snack and Share session – January 12th (Note: this will be held at American Red Cross Building in downtown Wooster, not the fairgrounds as announced in November/December Link newsletter)

2017 Letter to Beef Project Exhibitors and Parents with Information about Weigh-In

Season’s greetings.  We hope you’re enjoying the holiday season and all of the hustle and bustle that comes along with preparing for the holidays.  Listed below are a few important 4-H updates and reminders.  Please click the headlines below for more details.

4-H Achievement Record Workshop – Tonight December 5th at 6:00 pm in the FFA Building at the Fairgrounds.  Come learn about ways to make your application stand out and increase your chances for being selected for Junior Fair Board, Camp Counseling, trips and other teen leadership opportunities.

Next Junior Leaders Meeting – tonight December 5th at 7:00 pm in the FFA Building at the Fairgrounds.  Come work together with Senior Fair Board members to assemble bikes for the 4-H Bikes for Kids Christmas Project.  Following the bike assembly we will be having a Gingerbread House Building Contest and games.
