Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, recognizes and supports scientific achievement. Each year our Sigma Xi Chapter awards around 6 competitive Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR) to undergraduate and graduate student researchers: $1000 to graduate students; $500 to undergraduate students. However, we usually have 50 applications that cannot be funded. There is great need to increase how many GIARs that we can award. You can help. Gift donations can be made through the OSU Campus Campaign mechanism or at any time. You can use a monthly deduction from your paycheck, or as a one-time gift – both options are tax-deductible. All donations will go directly to funding GIARs. Sponsorship of a GIAR will allow a donor to select the naming rights and/or specific research topic of that award. GIAR sponsorship can be split between multiple donors if those donations total the required value. Please contact the chapter when you make a donation to claim your reward or for more details.
