Dr. Eliseos Taiganides

Dr. Eliseos Taiganides is a former professor at The Ohio State University, and has been instrumental in the development and continuation of the OSU Modern Greek Department. He graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science. After completing his master’s and PhD at Iowa State University in Soil and Water engineering and Bio-Environmental Engineering respectively, he began his career in academia. His travels took him from Columbus, Ohio, to Singapore, and then to Malaysia. He has written books in English, Greek and Spanish. He is the author of the dramatic performance “The Trial of Socrates: A Drama in 1 and 1/2 Acts”. Professor Taiganides also serves as the editor of the Greek Ethos, a publication that is circulated by the Columbus Greek Olympic Society.

Professor Taiganides started Bio-Gas Energy Farms, a company whose mission is to help livestock producers assess the costs of processing farm animal wastes while maximizing recycling, and minimizing public nuisance.
