Athena Patitsas and Stavros Stefanopoulos

Athena and Stavros are both Greek Americans from Ohio that had a vested interest in understanding more about the Modern Greek Program at OSU. Seeing as Athena’s mother also went through the department during her years at Ohio State, learning about the history and the program’s course through time gives us a better understanding as to why it is so important. The Modern Greek Department has seen many students during its time and continues to promote the study of, not only the language, but also culture, history and the importance of Greece in a modern society. Please join Athena and Stavro as they explore the roots of how the program was developed and how it has impacted them.
