Date: 7-March-2018
Where: Hitchcock
Time: 10:20-11:15 (Face-to-Face)
Members Present: Madison Geiger, Malik Kamagate, Jessica Lyon, Jalen Mundy
Initiated Ideas:
-Jesse thought it would be a good idea to shift the battery to the right in order to balance out the AEV design therefore making it more energy efficient and causing the motors to perform better.
-Malik though it would be a good idea to move the support arm one line to the right therefore making the wheels more balanced over top of the AEV in hope of causing less swaying of the AEV on the track.
Topics Discussed:
-Figure out a code that will successfully complete performance test 1.
Objective:
-Successfully completed performance test one, placing the AEV in the starting dock and pass through the gate.
To do/Action Items:
-Calculate how many marks are required to reach to the top of the AEV track and reach the gate.
-Input a break command for the AEV to pause waiting for the gate to go up.
-Code for the AEV to pass through the gate after 5 seconds pass.
-Modify AEV design in relation to Malik and Jesse’s ideas.
Decisions:
-In the next lab, 3/20/18, the group will continue to work on completing performance test 1.
Reflections:
-When testing the AEV, the AEV needs breaks in between runs or else it gets overheated and does not perform as well.
-Next lab the team will have to modify the code, the AEV is still not stopping in the proper location.
Upcoming tasks:
-Complete performance test 1.
