How to speak in front of groups and get invited to do it again – Practical tips and tools

Date: Wednesday, September 3, 2025
Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM
Location: Hamilton Hall 280

We’ve all heard great medical speakers and also those who really struggle to convey a message. Since public speaking of some sort is nearly essential for an academic medical career, why not do it really well? This interactive session will provide practical tools for you to utilize in front of an audience, whether you’re an introvert, an extrovert or somewhere in the middle. Expect some curveballs, a little humor and if I do my job right, some tools that you’ll be able to use right away. This is an in-person session only as the content itself regards in-person speaking. Facilitated by Dr. Nathan Rosenberg, Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
