Outstanding Mentor Award for Associate Professors

The Center for FAME annually recognizes one Associate Professor’s achievements as a mentor with the honor of Outstanding Mentor. Nominations for this award are invited from faculty members who have been mentored by a current OSUWMC Associate Professor. Nominations should describe how the mentor has been outstanding in supporting, encouraging and promoting your career and professional development. Specific examples and stories are encouraged. Preference will be given to those who mentor outside of a formal leadership role.

Nominator: Faculty mentee
Criteria of Nominee: Current College of Medicine faculty member at rank of associate professor, minimum of five years of mentoring other College of Medicine faculty
Deadline: Application window for 2023 is closed
Prize: $2,500

The Center for FAME annually recognizes one Professor’s achievements as a mentor with the honor of Outstanding Mentor. Nominations for this award are invited from faculty members who have been mentored by a current OSUWMC Professor. Nominations should describe how the mentor has been outstanding in supporting, encouraging and promoting your career and professional development. Specific examples and stories are encouraged. Preference will be given to those who mentor outside of a formal leadership role.

Criteria of Nominee: Current College of Medicine faculty member at rank of professor, minimum of five years of mentoring other College of Medicine faculty
Deadline: Application window for 2023 is closed
Prize: $2,500

FAME Early Career Achievement Award

The Center for FAME annually recognizes on a competitive basis, up to two faculty members who demonstrate significant achievements that are attributable to participating in faculty development programming, directly put on by, or sponsored by, the Center for Faculty Advancement, Mentoring and Engagement. All Assistant Professors with a primary appointment in the College of Medicine, who meet the criteria, are eligible to nominate themselves for this award.

Nominator: self-nomination
Criteria of Nominee: Assistant Professor, achievements attributable to professional development
Deadline: Application window for 2023 is closed
Prize: $1,000

FAME Mid-Career Achievement Award

The Center for FAME annually recognizes on a competitive basis, up to two faculty members who demonstrate significant achievements that are attributable to participating in faculty development programming, directly put on by, or sponsored by, the Center for Faculty Advancement, Mentoring and Engagement. All Associate Professors with a primary appointment in the College of Medicine, who meet the criteria, are eligible to nominate themselves for this award.
