Support the Shelby County Junior Fair!!
Saturday, August 18th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
As Junior Fair expenses increase, the Shelby County Junior Fairboard is continuing to raise funds. This year, the group will again host a county-wide rummage sale at the fairgrounds. Proceeds from the sale will be used to pay for Junior Fair expenses and improve Junior Fair facilities. Aluminum cans will also be collected during the sale to benefit SCARF animal rescue.
We are looking for people to:
1) Donate items to the sale (drop-off details below)
2) Volunteer time working the sale (In need of volunteer hours for community service, resumes, college applications, etc.? This counts!!)
We are also asking all clubs, chapters and troops to help the Junior Fairboard distribute the flyer announcing the Rummage Sale within their local communities. Please let your friends, family and other civic organizations know about the sale and encourage them to both donate and purchase items, if able.
Aluminum Can Drive: Aluminum cans will also be collected during the sale to benefit SCARF animal rescue.
Have items to donate?
Donations from the public are welcome. Drop-offs will be accepted on August 15, 16 and 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. New or clean, gently-used items only please. See suggested items below. All items remaining after the sale will be donated to a local charity.
Items desired: clothes; baby gear; toys; kitchenware; tools; fishing, hunting and camping items; furniture; antiques; appliances; household items and electronics. Aluminum cans to benefit SCARF animal rescue will also be collected.
The Rummage Sale will be open to public on Saturday, August 18th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The location for the sale will be the Beige Building across from the Senior Fair Office on the SHELBY CO. FAIRGROUNDS.
