The inaugural AGPA conference, Creating Pathways: Building Community and Engagement in Graduate and Professional Higher Education Affairs, will be held on Tuesday, July 11th at the Ohio Union (1739 N. High Street Columbus, OH 43210). Below are details for conference registrants.
Event Details
- An overview of the conference schedule will be provided for you in your welcome folder at the registration table. The full conference schedule can be accessed through the “Guidebook” app on your mobile phone. If you do not currently have Guidebook, you can download the app for free in your Google Play or iTunes store. We recommend downloading the app and connecting with the conference ahead of time. Once Guidebook has been downloaded, you can find our conference 1 of 3 ways:
- Simply search within Guidebook, “Creating Pathways”
- Click on the following URL, http://guidebook.com/g/agpaconference, which allows you download the app and also brings you directly to our conference page.
- Use the QR code below once you have downloaded the Guidebook app (the QR scanner is found in the Guidebook search bar).
- The full schedule can also be accessed on our Conference Agenda page.
- Registration will begin at 8:00 AM in front of the Great Hall Meeting Room on the first floor of the Ohio Union. From 8:00- 9:00 AM we will have a professional photographer available to take headshots in the Stained Glass Lounge on the second floor at the top of the Great Hall stairs. This service is complimentary and no additional charge.
- Breakfast and lunch is provided along with refreshments in the afternoon. There are a variety of additional food and beverage items available for purchase at the Ohio Union. For a full list of restaurants available at the Ohio Union, visit the Ohio Union website.
- Wireless Internet: Ohio State students, faculty, and staff should use the osuwireless network as the primary means for wireless connectivity. Guests and visitors to the university are encouraged to use WiFi@OSU which is free to connect to after confirming the university acceptable use policy. More information can be found at wireless.osu.edu.

Parking
- Directions to the Ohio Union can be found on the Ohio Union website.
- Ohio State employees with a keycard can park in ARPS or the Gateway Garage. A reminder, the Ohio Union North Garage is currently closed.
- Non-keycard parking is available at the Ohio Union South Garage. The daily rate is $12.50. Garage exit passes are available at a reduced rate of $8.75 which can be purchased during registration and are payable by cash or check.
- Street parking is also available around the Ohio Union.
Accessibility
- If you have questions concerning access, wish to request a sign language interpreter or accommodations for a disability please contact Courtney Sanders (sanders.531@osu.edu). Early requests are encouraged, a week will generally allow us to provide seamless access.
- The Ohio Union provides a variety of amenities and services including wheelchairs, a gender neutral bathroom, and a lactation room. For more information about these facilities, visit the information desk on the first floor.
