The Association of Graduate and Professional Administrators (AGPA) at The Ohio State University invites administrators working with graduate and professional higher education to join us for our inaugural conference. The all-day conference will include keynote speakers, a panel discussion, breakout sessions and presentations centered around the theme Creating Pathways: Building Community and Engagement in Graduate and Professional Higher Education Affairs.
Throughout the last two years since its inception, AGPA has developed as an outlet for those who work with graduate and professional students at Ohio State to connect, share, and learn together. We have created a community of people who are passionate about graduate and professional education. By creating connections through AGPA, we are all better able to serve our population of students, work with others to solve problems, share resources, and grow as professionals committed to providing the best education experience possible. We are excited to host our inaugural conference in celebration of this idea and to continue building community and engagement across graduate and professional higher education.
After attending this conference, participants will be able to:
- Recognize themes and trends in graduate and professional education both at Ohio State and nationally
- Identify areas of improvement at the university and within their own unit
- Possess the tools to implement positive changes and create complex solutions to problems that exist
- Create networks with others related to graduate and professional student affairs for future problem solving and collaborations
- Participate in collaboration, career and personal growth, and the sharing of best practices
