AGPA will be starting a monthly blog and we want to hear from graduate and professional administrators about their experiences working at OSU in their respective departments/centers/offices throughout 2020. While the risk of COVID-19 is far from over, I think we as administrators are finally able to reflect on what we were truly able to accomplish last year.
The prompt will be open ended as stated above, and I think the last thing we want to do is to pigeonhole these experiences, stresses, successes and failures from everyone into a “one size fits all” post once a month. How did you enhance communication with your colleagues remotely? Did you make a big mistake during admissions and find a productive work around? Or…did you finally nail down a perfect system of self-care when you logged off for the day? What is your take on the elusive “work-life balance” people always seem to talk about? Please be as personal or impersonal as you feel is necessary, and keep in mind: these blogs are about you and your experiences.
