2021 4-H Recognition Banquet Reservations Due November 1st

4-H members and volunteers being recognized for years of service and various other awards were recently mailed invitations for this year’s Wayne County 4-H Recognition Banquet.  The banquet will be held on Tuesday November 9th at 6 pm at the Wayne County Fair Event Center. 

All youth and adults that are being recognized will receive a complimentary meal.  Parents / family members or other guests are asked to pay $15 to cover the cost of their meals.  Reservations for award winners and payment for any guest meals can be made online at https://go.osu.edu/wc2021banquetAll reservations are due by November 1st.  Award recipients must RSVP by November 1st in order to be recognized.

2020 Ohio Youth Capital Challenge

Teens interested in learning more about government are invited to apply for the 2020 Ohio Youth Capital Challenge.

A select group of youth will learn how to make a difference through public policy and action. Delegates will travel to Columbus for an overnight training with legislators and aides in the State Capital, develop policy and prepare a presentation for public hearing. Don’t miss this great opportunity for a firsthand experience of government in action and the opportunity to win scholarships. More at go.osu.edu/OYCC2020.

4-H Science Saturdays

4-H Science Saturdays are back in 2020! Join us on January 11 for Can You Dig it? Our friends from OSU’s Orton Geological Museum will be provide fossils and gemstones, you create a volcano and dig into paleontology. It all happens at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Find the details and register at go.osu.edu/4HSciSat.
