Teen Tip Video

Today’s Teen Tip video was created by Family and Consumer Sciences Educator, Katie Schlagheck. It is called “How to Measure Ingredients”. Measuring liquid ingredients is much different than measuring dry ingredients, Katie will demonstrate the correct technique for both including the best way to measure flour and brown sugar.

Skill-A-Thons

Good News! Maybe you already saw this on a recent social media post, if not, the OSU Animal Science department is conducting a virtual Skillathon Contest. I learned today from Wood County 4-H Alumna, Hunter Frobose, who is a team member working on the project, that the scores from Wood County participants can be separated to use as our county contest scores! Our contest is now back on!
There is one major detail you need to do if you plan to participate – REGISTER NOW! The deadline to register is July 15th. The actual dates of the contest are divided by specie from July 23 – Aug 7 from 10am-6pm each day. You can participate in as many contests as you like. See the flyers (links below) so you can mark those dates on your calendar and understand the rules. The information is also posted on the Wood County 4-H webpage under “Everything Livestock”.
