Camp Counselor Application Now Available!

It is time to begin our selection process for our 4-H Camp Counselors for 4-H Camp 2025!

Paulding County 4-H Camp Counselors must be at least a Sophomore in High School, be a current Paulding County 4-H member, be willing and able to complete at least 24 hours of training, have a positive attitude, and want to make a difference in the lives of our youth.  New applicants will need to be prepared to submit 3 references (non-related) which will include the reference name, current phone number, and current e-mail address.  All applicants must be able to provide current contact information, emergency contact information, as well as answer the following questions:

  1. Why do you want to be a camp counselor?
  2. What traits, skills, or special experiences do you have that would benefit you in this position? (include experiences working with children and adults)
  3. What skills or contributions will you add to the counselor team in making sure camp is successful? (such as First Aid, Babysitter’s Course, Recreation, etc.)
  4. What hobbies and/or special interests do you have that you would like to share?
  5. List 2 of your strengths.

The application period begins today and all applications must be submitted by 4:30 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024.  All applicants will receive information about a required interview after the application deadline.  The dates for the interviews are December 26th and 27th.

4-H Camp Registration

4-H CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Any youth who just finished up their 3rd grade year to those who just finished up their Freshman year can attend 4-H Camp. You do not need to be a current 4-H member to attend.

When: July 9th – July 13th

The cost for camp this year is $225 for a 4-H member and $250 for a non 4-H member.

If you are interested in becoming a camp counselor for 4-H Camp 2024, please fill out an application and return it to the Extension Office no later than Friday December 1st, 2023.

2021 Paulding County 4-H Camp Counselor Applications Now Available

The 2020 Paulding County 4-H Camp Counselor Applications are now available.  Youth who are current Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, recent graduates still eligible for 4-H, or past counselors who aged out of 4-H last year but were not able to camp in 2020 may apply.  Applications are due online no later than 11:59 pm on December 18th.  Applicants must complete the application in its entirety to be considered.  Parent/legal guardian signatures are required as part of the application process.  Applications can be found by clicking the link below.  Interviews for potential camp counselors will take place via ZOOM during Christmas break.  Applicants will be contacted after the deadline to schedule an interview time.
