Paulding County Drug Use Notification Form (DUNF)

The 2025 Paulding County Fair is less than 1 week away.  We have a lot going on this time of the year and need to be sure that this very important task is added to the list.  An e-mail will be sent to all 4-H members who are registered to bring an animal to the fair with information regarding the Drug Use Notification Form (DUNF).  As a reminder, the Paulding County Fairboards require that all animals that are on the fairgrounds, minus dogs, must have a DUNF complete prior to the arrival of the animals on the fairgrounds.  For those who have completed a DUNF in the past, nothing has changed.

  • What is a DUNF?
    • The DUNF is a legal document that is required to be completed by ODA for market animals. The Paulding County Fairboards require that it is completed for all animals that will be staying at our fair. This form is used by exhibitors to indicate if medication is currently in an animal’s system that it has not been withdrawn from. Rules state that all market animals must be free of medication before they can be exhibited at a fair.
  • Do I need a DUNF for every animal that I am bringing to the fair?
    • Yes. All animals must have a separate DUNF.
  • What do I need to have so I can fill out a DUNF?
    • The link, which can be found below.
    • First Name of Exhibitor
    • Last Name of Exhibitor
    • Address of Exhibitor
    • E-mail address of Exhibitor or Parent
    • Phone Number of Exhibitor or Parent
    • Current Age of Exhibitor
    • Identification Number
      • Full 840 number for market animals that have a tag in the ear
      • Scrapie Tag or tattoo number for all exhibition/breeding goats and sheep
      • Tag number for all rabbits
      • Use Names for Horses
    • Species of your animal
    • Breed, sex, and color of the animal
    • Is your animal free of medication?
      • As stated above, all market animals should be free of medication. This means the withdrawl period has passed for any medication you may have given your animal. You will only check No if there is a medication that the withdrawl has not passed. If this is the case, you will need to complete questions about the medication.
    • Signature of Exhibitor
    • Signature of Parent/Guardian (unless the exhibitor is 18 or older)
  • I completed the DUNF, what do I need to bring for proof?
    • You will not need to bring anything. We have the ability to look up your DUNF information since it is done online.
  • What if I gave medication but do not want to list it?
    • Lying on a DUNF form is a felony in the State of Ohio. Exhibitors and/or Parents/Guardians may be fined, jailed, or both as well as banned from exhibition in the future.
  • When should I complete my DUNF(s)
    • Best practice is for you to complete your DUNF the morning of move-in but before you arrive to the fairground. The DUNF is open now so it can be done any time before you arrive with your animal(s).

Fair Registration

*REMINDER*

ALL projects (including still projects BUT excluding Market Rabbits) and classes need to be added and selected in Fair Entry by Friday, May 9th. This is NOT the same as 4-H Online. All animals should have already been entered in 4-H Online which will make this process much easier for those entering livestock projects. Please use the link below for the Fair Entry website.

Toledo Mud Hens Boots & Baseball Weekend

The Toledo Mud Hens will be having their Boots and Baseball Weekend again this season starting on Friday, May 30th and Saturday, May 31st at Fifth Third Field. They are looking to fill the ballpark that weekend with as many 4-H Clubs as possible and we will be recognizing all the 4-H Clubs who attend one of the games up on the video board during the game as well. They have a lot of exciting things planned throughout the weekend as well, including specialty jerseys the Mud Hens will be wearing both games.

On Friday, May 30th they will be giving away a country themed Colt Keith bobblehead as people enter the ballpark with a post-game concert out in Hensville Park.

On Saturday, May 31st they will start with a pregame concert in Hensville Park, a bolo tie giveaway as people enter the ballpark, and to wrap up the night they will have post game fireworks on the field and a DJ out in Hensville park to wrap up an amazing weekend!

They want to get the word out to as many 4-H Clubs as possible to join them at Fifth Third Field for this amazing weekend! For more information or if any clubs would want to start reserving tickets, please reach out to Owen Bailey at 419-725-9285 or by email owen.bailey@mudhens.com.
