Statement
For this project we had the option of working digitally, so of course I had to go full throttle! Of Mice and Men tells a dramatic story of Lennie & George, two farmhands for-hire with a dream of owning land and being free. This story features 4 main locations all within a large farm. For the sake of transitions and immersion, I’ve combined some of the set locations to bring the story closer on the stage itself. The main barn and Crook’s room act as one set, with Crook’s room being in the loft of the barn. For the bunkhouse scene, a backdrop shortens the barn set and adds bunkbeds and a table. And finally, the scenes that take place by the river happen around some outdoor scenery towards the front of the stage.
