This page contains the individual members’ brainstorming ideas and sketches, the collective screening matrices for each of the tasks, the chassis, and the drive-train, and the scoring matrix to determine the top three robot ideas. Brainstorming was an essential to the success of the project, as the team wanted to get all of the robot’s issues sorted out prior to building and programming. This intense planning resulted in massive success and limited the amount of time wasted on blindly building, repairing, or coding things that we were not certain of. This included individual and team phases, building, and SolidWorks modeling. Once this brainstorming was completed, the team was successfully able to translate these initial concepts into a quality final design, keeping most of the aspects from the brainstorming the same.
