The two PDFs below are the concept screening and scoring of the all of the designs against the sample design provided:
The criteria that was discussed for the designs was stability, efficiency, safety, and durability. Below are the descriptions of the criteria when the designs were being evaluated for each one:
- Stability: The designs overall construction of what parts are connected and the overall balance of when the object is running down the track
- Efficiency: The amount of power that will be used in one run down and back the rail system and how much money will be saved from the weight of the AEV as well
- Safety: The risks that would be involved with the design of the AEV along with the overall security of the AEV that would be beneficial for whomever is riding
- Durability: How long the AEV will last before repairs are necessary to repair the vehicle as well as how the AEV would go up against the weather such as rain in the perspective if the AEV has a top or not
The two AEV designs that were used to determine the final design of the AEV were Brynn’s and Pratik’s design.
